History

Safety, Service, Stewardship since 1968

Established in March of 1968, our three founders banded together to form the West Coast Sand & Gravel company. Starting at our first location in Anaheim, California, West Coast moved twice before settling in Buena Park, California. During these early years, the founders envisioned building a company centered on honesty, trust, safety, and stewardship, with a special emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service.

Now celebrating our 49th anniversary, the main focus that was instilled in 1968 is still our top priority today. Our outstanding Team and loyal customers are the reason we have grown from 2 trucks to over 300, and from 1 location in Buena Park to 10 throughout California and the Phoenix area.

Over the last four-plus decades, West Coast Sand & Gravel has evolved into the West Coast Group of Companies. Our growing business is just another way we are committed to providing outstanding service. Not only has West Coast Sand & Gravel grown to provide more products and services, but we have also expanded our services through our sister companies. Resource Building Materials, Materials Sales Unlimited, WC Wood Industries, and Sunrise Redi- Mix are ready to serve you as well with the same commitment to safety, service, and stewardship. Whether it's bulk bags of sand and gravel, concrete, or masonry materials, we have everything needed to build and complete your project.

We have come a long way since 1968 and we are grateful to all those who made it possible. We take pride in delivering the same level of personalized customer service that we did 49 years ago. Our main focus has not changed. In every new hire we instill our commitments to our customers so this tradition can be carried forward. We are confident you will see the difference. Thank you for the support throughout the years, and we look forward to many more!
